Accommodate High-Data Rates

To accommodate high-data rates from the consoles managed by Console Manager when LAT and Direct connections are used, it is necessary to increase the size of the alternate type-ahead buffer and the XOFF threshold for the alternate type-ahead buffer. Add the following two lines to SYS$SYSTEM:MODPARAMS.DAT:

• TTY_ALTYPAHD = 2000
• TTY_ALTALARM = 640

Note: The above two parameters may be increased, but the 3-to-1 ratio should be maintained.
