SHUTDOWN Command

The SHUTDOWN command stops CA‑L‑Serv on the local system.

Syntax

SHutdown [IMMEDIATE]

Parameters

IMMEDIATE

Stops CA‑L‑Serv immediately, even if all servers have not terminated. If any servers are still running, CA‑L‑Serv can experience an A03 abend.

Use IMMEDIATE only when normal shutdown requests fail. It can be most useful when you want to stop a remote system and an active SQL request is executing on the host system.

Example
