READ Command

The READ command directs CA‑L‑Serv to read the specified partitioned data set member and execute each command in it.

READ member

Parameters

member: Partitioned data set member that contains the commands you want to execute. This member must be part of the CA-L‑Serv parameter data set, or its dsname must be included in the concatenation of the //LDMCMND DD statement in the CA-L‑Serv start‑up procedure.

Note: The READ commands are typically issued from a console.

To read the FILECMDS member and execute the commands in that member:
