MSGTABLE Command

The MSGTABLE command immediately loads the message definitions that are contained in (or pointed to from) a partitioned data set member that you identify. This makes those message definitions take effect immediately.

Syntax

MSGTABLE member

member

Partitioned data set member that contains (or points to) the message definitions. This member must be part of the CA-L‑Serv parameter data set, or its dsname must be included in the concatenation of the //LDMCMND DD statement in the CA-L‑Serv start‑up procedure.

Note: Issue the MSGTABLE command from the CA-L‑Serv parameter data set or from a console of an operator.

To load message definitions that are stored in the MSGDEF member:
