You can use the CNSMPROC member NSMEMSTR to start the functional component. Then issue the following command:

D OMVS,A=ALL

The caiopr, newdaylog, caidoc, and logrdr processes minimally are running. Depending on your needs ca_calendar, stardaemon, oprsafd, and catrapd can also be running.
