Collect Data in the CA-L-Serv Logs
A log is a set of sequential files that collects information about CA-L-Serv. Three types of logs are provided:
- The message logs collect messages about commands that are issued to CA-L-Serv and its responses to those commands. They also collect CA-L-Serv messages that indicate potential problems or significant events.
- Trace logs collect diagnostic information about CA-L-Serv. CA Technologies Support uses this information.
- Change logs collect information about updates to files that CA-L-Serv is managing. Change logs contain the following types of information:
- The ID of the user making an update.
- The type of operation: add, delete, or replace.
- The ddname of the file being updated.
- The record key (shown in character and hexadecimal formats).
