Configure Secondary Appliance Peer Replication

Configure the appliance settings to identify the appliance as the secondary and to define the communication with the primary appliance.

Follow these steps:

Use an internet browser to log in to the secondary appliance.
Select Configure, Maintenance, Storage Optimization Service.
Stop the optimization service.
Select Configure, Storage, Peer Replication Settings.
Select Secondary from the drop-down list to assign the appliance role.
Configure the secondary appliance settings:
- Enter the Megastore ID of the primary.
- Enter a shared secret key. You enter the same shared key when you complete the primary appliance configuration.
- Enter a port number on which the secondary appliance listens for connections from the primary appliance. The primary appliance replicates data to the secondary appliance through this port.
Click Apply to save your appliance changes.
Select Configure, Maintenance, Storage Optimization Service.
Start the optimization service.
