Data is retained on the local disk cache as long as possible and can be evicted using algorithms such as a least recently used algorithm. If the data is later needed, it is retrieved from the cloud. Determine the amount of local disk cache through the planning checklist. A properly sized local disk cache minimizes delays getting data from the cloud.
