Create a Private Heartbeat Network

Create a private heartbeat network for the CA Nimsoft Monitor cluster on the host.

Follow these steps:

1. Click ESX, and then click the Configuration tab.
2. Click Networking on the left pane.
3. Click Add Networking to open the Add Network wizard.
4. Select default of Virtual Machine and click Next.
5. Select Create a vSphere standard switch, and click Next.

   Important! Ensure that all check boxes are cleared.

6. Provide a name for the Network Label. For example, CA Nimsoft Monitor Heartbeat.
7. Click Next.
8. Review Setup and click Finish.

   A private heartbeat network for the CA Nimsoft Monitor cluster is created on the host.
