Use Case: Creating an Asset Group

Scenario:

A user wants to create a new asset group where the user is member of only one security profile.

Pre-Condition:

A group with the same name does not already exist.

Action:

The user creates the new asset group.

Post-Conditions:

• The new group is created.
• A group_ace is created based on the class level permissions for groups.
• An object_ace is created based on the class level permissions for the groups.
• The area_ace is picked up from the security profile where the creation user belongs to. If the creation user is unknown the default area_ace is assigned.

Note: The same is valid for scalability server groups and domain groups.
