Updating the Golden Template

As a desktop support analyst, your responsibilities include updating the golden templates when you want to add or remove software packages from the golden template. Updating the golden templates updates the VMware View Clone, Citrix PVS streamed virtual desktop, or MCS-based virtual desktop.

1. Verify the Prerequisites
2. Deploy the Software to the Golden Template
3. Configure the vDisk Target Device Personality Data
4. View the vDisk Inventory
5. Tag the Template after the Update
6. Update the Virtual Desktop Group or Pool
7. Verify the Software Updates of the Virtual Desktop
