Object-Level Security and Certificates

The Client Automation management database provides class and object-level security (OLS). The permissions assigned in the database are associated with a security profile, which is represented by an object URI. Certificate URIs can be associated with security profiles and therefore can be used to regulate access to the Client Automation management database.

For example, when scalability servers connect to a domain manager, they will authenticate themselves using the registration certificate. The URI associated with the registration certificate has been given only enough permission to the database to allow registration of the scalability server node.
