Phase 3: Duplicate Transfer Resolution

Phase 3 of the transfer optimization process includes the resolution of any duplicate transfers. This simple process checks the transfers in the activated transfer group to make sure that none are identical. If there are any identical transfers, they are collapsed into a single transfer. This is the case when a number of transfers are expanded into multi hops that all pass through a single, intermediate machine. The first half of the hop is usually resolved down to a single transfer.
