Displays the delivery trace produced by the Data Transport Service.
The Delivery trace tab is always present on distributions from an enterprise manager to a domain manager.
The Delivery trace tab is present
When a job, which involves an implicit transfer to the temporary staging area on the scalability server (the software package is not stored, and will not be stored, in the scalability server staging library after job execution) is executed, the Delivery Trace tab trace, containing the trace, will be visible for each of the agents affected by the job.
The following should be observed regarding the presence of a trace file:
If a job container has jobs for more than one agent downstream of a scalability server, the trace file will only be present on the job of one of the agents.
Note that no trace file at all will be generated, if the software package is already present in the staging library of the scalability server by a previous delivery.
If a job container is deleted, or more specifically a job that generated a trace file is deleted from the container, the delivery trace tab for the corresponding computer job(s) will be emptied.
When clicking on the Delivery Trace tab, the trace is displayed.
Note: The delivery trace is non-localizable.
The trace details can look like the following ones:
date time1 DTS READ FILTERING date time2 CONNECTING date time1 IN PROGRESS 0% date time1 WRITE_FILTERING date time2 COMPLETE
In the right corner, below the presentation area for trace data, you will find two graphical buttons, with tooltip descriptions.
They control the selection of font for the output data: proportional (to the left) and mono spaced (to the right).
Note that the basic font selection is made in View menu, Fonts, Dialogs and that the trace contents can be refreshed by clicking Refresh.
