Menu Bar Options

The CMP Editor menu bar options let you operate the CMP Editor. The menu bar consists of the File, Edit, View, and Help menus. Some options are displayed only when a file entry in the CMP File is selected.

All menu bar options and their functions are shown following:

File menu

• Save—Saves all changes made to all files in the CMP File.
• Exit—Exits the CMP Editor.

Edit menu

• Undo—Undoes the not yet saved modifications on selected files in the CMP File.
• Undo All—Undoes all not yet saved modifications on all files in the CMP File.
• Add—Adds files to the CMP File.
• Delete—Removes selected files from the CMP File.
• Export—Copies and extracts selected files from the CMP File in a working directory. The files still remain in the CMP File.
• Modify Contents—Modifies contents of selected files from the CMP File.
• Properties—Sets or modifies options, attributes, or the directory path for the selected files in the CMP File.
• Start/Open—Opens or starts selected files depending on their file extension. (Only available when using the Add File or Modify Contents function.)
• Explore—Opens an Explorer window for each selected file. The Explorer window contains the working directory of the file. (Only available when using the Add File or Modify Contents function.)

View menu

• Toolbar—Toggles display of the CMP Editor toolbar.
• Status Bar—Toggles display of the CMP Editor status bar.
• Sort—Sorts the contents of the CMP File window in ascending or descending order by one of the columns, for example, by file name. Once you have selected a sort criteria, a triangle appears in that column. Clicking this triangle toggles the sort order.

Help menu

• Help Topics—Opens the CMP Editor online help.
