Installation Requirements

New CA Clarity PPM Customers

Before you install NPD Accelerator, you must have CA Clarity PPM installed.

See the Installation Guide for more information on how to install CA Clarity PPM and how to install an add-in.

Existing CA Clarity PPM Customers

Existing customers must upgrade to the current CA Clarity PPM release before installing NPD Accelerator.

Features

The NPD Accelerator feature set provides:

Product portfolio management that allows you to balance reward versus risk, improve alignment between innovation and business strategy, and monitor the health and performance of all products over their entire lifecycle.
Pipeline management to help you prioritize and sequence projects to balance resource demand and capacity.
Idea-to-launch management that provides an automated, collaborative workflow for developing new products—from submitting a new idea through to product inception.
Project and resource management that offers comprehensive project and resource management capabilities to help your organization manage resource allocations, project schedules and progress, and improve cross-functional coordination.
A set of NPD-specific dashboards and portlet that provide you with a clear picture of your organization’s projects, products, and quick access to manage and track your portfolios.

Note:The removal of old Portfolio features affected the NPD Accelerator.This add-in had portfolio-related portlets that were removed. The pages that displayed the portlets were left in place. The pages were left to accommodate customers who placed custom portlets or other valid portlets on the pages. If no custom or other portlets are present, the pages appear blank. Review your Studio portlet pages and delete any that are empty.
