Insert an Item in a List

When you insert an item, you can edit the fields for the item in the list. The fields displayed are required. The fields cannot be saved until you edit them. Once you save the changes, the default fields display and the auto numbered fields update. If the list includes a time-scaled value column and you want to edit the time-scaled information, save your changes first.

Note: If you filter the list, the inserted row must match the filter criteria for it to display in the results list.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open a list page.
  2. Select the check box or click anywhere on the item row to insert a new row below it.
  3. Do one of the following:

    The new row is inserted.
