Set Up Microsoft Project with CA Clarity PPM Microsoft Project Interface

The MSPAdd2k.MPP file is the CA Clarity PPM Microsoft Project Interface macro that adds CA Clarity PPM Integration as a toolbar or menu in Microsoft Project. Before enabling the macro, check for the following:

• Macro security for Microsoft Project 2002 and Microsoft Project 2003.
  • For Microsoft Project 2002. From Tools > Macros > Security, ensure that security is set to Medium.
  • For Microsoft Project 2003 or Microsoft Project 2007. On the Security tab of the Tools > Options, ensure that the macro security is set to Medium.
• Close all instances of Microsoft Project.

Once you enable the macro and you restart Microsoft Project, CA Clarity PPM Integration appears as a toolbar or menu, depending on your setup selection.

To enable the CA Clarity PPM Microsoft Project Interface macro

1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder where the CA Clarity PPM Microsoft Project Interface macro is stored. By default:

   C:\Program Files\CA\Clarity\CA Clarity PPM MSPInterface\data
   

2. Double-click the MSPAdd2k.MPP file.

   Note: Do not open this file from Microsoft Project using File > Open.

   A dialog box appears asking if you want to enable macros.

3. Click Enable Macros.

   Microsoft Project launches and a dialog box appears asking if you want to display CA Clarity PPM Integration as a toolbar or menu.

4. Select either Toolbar or Menu and click OK.

   The macro is enabled and the CA Clarity PPM Microsoft Project Interface setup is complete.
