Edit Resource/Role Allocations
The Resource/Role Allocations page lists all of the investments and services to which the resource or role is assigned in a table format. To view this page, open the resource, and then select the Allocations tab.
You can make the following changes from this page:
- Change the investment or service's allocation start and finish dates
- Change the percentage of time the resource or role is allocated to the investment or service
- Unless the default value is changed, CA Clarity PPM books resources and roles to each project for 100% of their time. Because resources cannot work 100% of their time on multiple investments, use the % Allocations field to reduce the amount of time a resource spends on each project.
- Shift investment allocation periods
- Create or edit allocation segments
- Add and remove investments or services
Note: If a project is locked and in tentative mode, you cannot edit allocations for existing team members.
To edit resource/role allocations
- Open the resource to which you want to edit resource/role allocations.
The Resource Properties: Main - General page appears.
- Select the Allocations tab.
The Resource/Role Allocations page for that resource or role appears. By default, the Summary subtab is selected.
- Choose Edit Mode from the Actions menu.
The editable fields display on the page.
- Do the following:
- Click Save.
- Select Display Mode from the Actions menu to return the page to display mode.
