Installation Prerequisites

Before you install Microsoft SharePoint Connector add-in v1.1.0, you must ensure that the following applications are downloaded, installed, and configured correctly on the SharePoint server:

• Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.

  Optionally, you can install Microsoft SharePoint 2003 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

• Microsoft Office Web Component 11.0.

  You must also have at least one SharePoint Web application created and configured on the Microsoft SharePoint server, and at least one site collection under the SharePoint Web application.

• A version of CA Clarity PPM certified for the v1.1.0 add-in installed with hot fix SharePoint_1.1.0.jar applied and running on the CA Clarity PPM server.

• (Optional) language packs. Language packs enable site owners and site collection administrators to create SharePoint sites and site collections in multiple languages without requiring separate installations of SharePoint. When an administrator creates a site or a site collection based on a language-specific site template, the text that appears on the site or the site collection is displayed in the site template's language. As CA Clarity PPM support is limited to 15 languages, you may see list information in English as default for a language that is not supported.

Note: Consider setting up Single Sign-on (SSO) for CA Clarity PPM on client computers so that SharePoint users that are also CA Clarity PPM users do not have to log in again when they use the Link to Clarity feature provided in CA Clarity PPM List Web Parts.
