A process is a series of actions resulting in an end. Steps comprise the series of actions. All processes have the following underlying characteristics:
Each step performs a single action that is intended to move the process toward its completion. Each time a process is started—either via a manual action or automated trigger—a process instance is created.
Note: Processes are not explicitly mark as complete. The completeness of a process instance depends on the status of the steps it contains. When the Finish step is completed, the process instance ends.
