Burdening Overview

Burdening is a critical component of earned value management systems. Use burdening matrices to calculate and measure a contract's indirect costs—costs that you cannot specifically attribute to an individual contract.

You can define burdened costs. Burdens are costs that are added to the direct cost. Burdening costs are aggregated and reported into one of the burdening types.
