About Sample Data

You can install the PMO Accelerator sample data to see and use examples of the functionality of CA Clarity PPM.

For complete instructions about installing the PMO Accelerator sample data, see the PMO Accelerator Release Notes.

Sample data helps demonstrate the product functionality by populating the add-in pages, portlets and views in a test or development environment with the following: incident categories, incidents, skills, partitions, earned value period definitions, organizational breakdown structures, resource classes, company classes, work in progress classes, investment classes, transaction classes, an entity, fiscal time periods, departments, locations, a cost and rate matrix, charge codes, input type codes, users, roles, resources, services, assets, applications, ideas, other work, project templates, projects, a program, risks, issues, change requests, status reports, benefit plans, cost plans, budget plans, releases, requirements, release plans, portfolios and portfolio plans.

Use this sample data to help you decide whether to install the PMO Accelerator add-in on your production environment.

Important! Sample data is strictly for test or development environments. Do not install the sample data on your production CA Clarity PPM server. Installing the data on a CA Clarity PPM server that contains data may produce a failure, overwrite existing data, or both. After you install the sample data, you cannot remove it.
