Configure Quality Center Plugin for CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements

Configure the Quality Center plug-in to communicate with CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements after installing it. Test the connection to CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements after configuring the plug-in. If the connection is successful, the passwords for Quality Center, CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements are encrypted, and are stored in the configuration file.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the Quality Center plug-in installation folder, locate the AvQcIntegration.exe.config file.
  2. Open the configuration file using a text editor.
  3. Configure the following parameters for Quality Center:
    Quality Center User Name

    Defines the administrator user name for logging in to the Quality Center account. The administrator must have access rights to multiple projects in Quality Center.

    Quality Center Password

    Displays the encrypted administrator password for logging in to the Quality Center account.

    Quality Center URL

    Displays the Quality Center URL.

    Example: http://myqa1234:8088/qcbin

    Quality Center Database Type

    Defines the type of database that is used by Quality Center (MSSQL or Oracle).

    AV QC Integration Partner SforceService

    Defines the Salesforce.com Web service endpoint URL where the Quality Center plug-in can communicate.

    Default: https://login.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/19.0

    You can change the default value to point to the Sandbox URL for testing purposes.

    Example: https://test.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/19.0

  4. Configure the following parameters for CA Clarity Agile:
    CA Clarity Agile User Name

    Defines the administrator user name for logging in to CA Clarity Agile. The administrator must have access rights to multiple projects in CA Clarity Agile.

    CA Clarity Agile Password

    Displays the encrypted administrator password for logging in to CA Clarity Agile.

    CA Clarity Agile Security Token

    Defines the security token for the CA Clarity Agile server.

    CA Clarity Agile Package Prefix

    Defines the package prefix for CA Clarity Agile. Only change the default prefix value if you are upgrading to a later version of CA Clarity Agile.

    Value: ca_agile

    Proxy URL

    Defines the proxy server URL for proxy authentication. This value is needed only if you are accessing the Internet using a proxy server.

    Proxy Domain

    Defines the proxy server domain for proxy authentication. This value is needed only if you are accessing the Internet using a proxy server.

    Proxy User Name

    Defines the proxy server user name for proxy authentication. This value is needed only if you are accessing the Internet using a proxy server.

    Proxy Password

    Defines the proxy server password for proxy authentication. This value is needed only if you are accessing the Internet using a proxy server.

  5. In the Quality Center plug-in installation folder, double-click the TestConnection.bat file to test the connection between Quality Center and CA Clarity Agile.

    A prompt appears asking you to enter the Quality Center and CA Clarity Agile passwords. The passwords that you enter are encrypted and stored in the configuration file.
