The Configurations tab lets you monitor the status of configurations, and perform actions against them.
The tab includes the following sections:
Lets you search for a configuration by name. The Search controls are located near the top of the left pane.
The following two Configurations sections are on the page:
The Configurations pane on the right side contains the following columns:
Contains check boxes that you can click to select a configuration when using the links across the top of the right pane. You can only select multiple configurations if you are deleting configurations.
Identifies the name of the configuration, as defined in the configuration wizard.
Identifies the system assigned to the configuration.
Identifies the current status for the configuration.
Identifies the date that the configuration was created.
Identifies the date that the configuration was last modified.
Contains a drop-down list of actions that can be performed against the configuration.
You can perform the following actions on the configurations:
Opens a previously saved configuration so that you can resume the Configuration wizard. You can only resume configurations with a status of Under Construction.
Deletes configurations that you have previously created if they become unnecessary.
Note: Deleting a configuration in CA CSM only deletes it from CA CSM. Deleting does not reverse the configuration or change your mainframe environment.
Builds a configuration in preparation for the implementation. You can only build configurations with a status of Ready to Build or Build Failed.
Opens the Validate Configuration dialog, where you can navigate through the implement configuration process without actually copying any files to the target system. You can only validate configurations with a status of Build completed, Validated, Validation error, or Implementation error.
Opens the Implement Configuration dialog, where you can navigate through the implement configuration process and complete the configuration of the product on the target system. You can only implement configurations with a status of Build completed, Validated, Validation error, Implementation stopped, or Implementation error.
Lets you rename the configuration and update its description.
Opens for editing the configuration that you have previously created and built. You can only edit configurations with a status of Build completed, Build failed, Validated, or Validation error.
Resets the status of a configuration if there are interruptions in the implementation of a configuration. Examples of interruptions are IPL of the z/OS system or any stoppage of the SCS address space during the processing.
Note: Resetting the status also releases any locks that the web-based interface placed on the configuration. These locks are used to prevent multiple users from modifying the configuration concurrently.
