How CA CSM Works with Other Vendors

If you are using CA CSM to install and maintain software from vendors other than CA Technologies, perform the following high-level tasks:

This illustration shows each of the steps the System Administrator needs to perform to use CA MSM to install and maintain a mainframe product from another software vendor.

  1. Define the vendor and product information in CA CSM.
  2. Install your product using CA CSM.
  3. When maintenance becomes available, manage the downloaded maintenance.
  4. (Optional) Manage your SMP/E environments as needed at your site.
