Specifies whether to let SMS manage the SMP/E temporary data sets.

Values: SMS or NONSMS

If SMS is used, the following storage parameters apply:

Note: If your site uses SMS ACS, ACS overrides the storage parameter values.

MGMTCLAS: Specifies the SMS management class to use for the temporary SMP/E data sets. Management classes define different levels of migration, backup, and retention services.
STORCLAS: Specifies the SMS storage class to use for the temporary SMP/E data sets. Storage classes define different levels of performance and availability services.
DATACLAS: Specifies the SMS data class to use for the temporary SMP/E data sets. Data classes define different allocation defaults.

If NONSMS is used, the following parameter applies:

UNIT and VOLUME

Specifies the type and volume serial number of the DASD on which to place temporary SMP/E data sets.
