Overview
CA Technologies is committed to helping all customers, regardless of their ability, use its products and supporting documentation to accomplish vital business tasks.
Our compliance with Section 508 means that product documentation is accessible through screen readers. Documentation includes the following accessibility features:
- All headings follow a structured hierarchy without skipping headings.
- Limit the use of symbols in text.
- Follow the corporate HTML templates, which help ensure a high degree of accessibility.
- Table use is limited, but when applicable the following rules are honored:
- Empty table cells include text such as "N/A" to indicate that a cell is intentionally blank.
- Table heading rows are carried over multiple pages.
- Tables do not have merged cells.
- Tables include a brief text description of that which the table is describing.
- Tables are styled in a portrait orientation.
- All graphics in the technical documentation include alternate text for the vision-impaired.
- Always include ALT text for all graphics, from icons to complex diagrams and screenshots (except bullets in lists).
- ALT text descriptions succinctly describe in 50 words or less the purpose of the graphic.
- Graphics include a brief text description of that which the graphic is describing.
- ALT text is a complete sentence.
- ALT text describes the purpose of the image and does not merely describe the appearance of the graphic.
- Graphics do not include abbreviations or acronyms.
