Using a Local License

Use a local license if one of the following requirements applies:

• You are the only user of CA ERwin Data Modeler.
• You want to use CA ERwin Data Modeler on a specific computer.
• You plan to use CA ERwin Data Modeler when you are disconnected from your corporate network.

In this licensing model, the license is stored on your local computer.

The following diagram illustrates how to use a local license:

Perform the following tasks to use a local license:

1. Contact CA Customer Care and get the license.
2. Review the system requirements.
3. Install CA ERwin DM.
4. Open CA ERwin DM and install the license.
5. Select a license for the current session.
