Set Global Document General Preferences
You can set the default global settings for report Author Name and Organization Name, and specify a graphics file and HTML link to display on the first page of HTML reports for all reports you generate, or you can change these settings for an existing report template.
To set global document general preferences
- Click Report Template Builder, Report Builder from the Tools menu.
The Report Templates dialog opens.
- Select an existing report template for which you want to change the global settings and then click the Edit button, or click the New button to create a new template.
The Report Template Builder dialog opens.
- Click Preferences from the Edit menu.
The Report Template Builder Preferences dialog opens.
- Click the General tab, set the following properties as needed, and then click OK.
- Specify the text for Author Name and Organization Name.
- Specify a graphics file and HTML link to display on the first page of HTML reports.
- Select the Apply All Preferences check box to apply settings to all future report templates.
- Click the Apply to the Current Template button to only apply settings to the report template you currently have open.
The Report Template Builder Preferences dialog closes and you are returned to the Report Template Builder dialog where you can either exit or run a report.
