The Partitions tab is used in the Oracle Index Editor for Tables and the Oracle Index Editor for Materialized Views. Use the Partitions tab to assign index columns to specific physical partitions. For each partition, you can define index partition segment attributes.
Select a Partition Type in this tab. The default selection is None. The partition types available to you vary by Oracle version and what partitioning options you have selected for the table or materialized view to which the index belongs. The various types are described in the following table. For information regarding each of these options, click on the link for the partition type.
