Add a Column to a Table

After you add a new table to a physical model, you need to add columns to the table.

To add a column to a table

1. Click Columns on the Model menu.

   The Columns dialog opens.

2. Select the table from the Table list to which you want to add a column and click the New button.

   The New Column dialog opens.

3. Enter information in the following fields and click OK.

   Attribute Name

   Specifies the attribute name, if you want the corresponding attribute to have a different name from the new column.

   Column Name

   Specifies the name of the new column.

   Physical Only

   Specifies to have the column only appear in the physical model. You will not have a corresponding attribute.

   The New Column dialog closes, you are returned to the Columns dialog, and the new column appears in the Column list.

4. Click OK.

   The Columns dialog closes, and the column you added displays in the table on the diagram.
