Specify Entities in the Submodel

After you create the submodel, you can specify the entities that you want to include in the submodel.

To specify entities in the submodel

1. Click Submodels on the Services menu.

   The Submodel Manager dialog opens.

2. Click the submodel for which you want to specify entities in the tree.

   The Entities in Diagram pane shows all the available entities in the main model.

3. Add or remove entities on the submodel list:
   • To add an entity to a submodel, double-click an entity in the Entities in Diagram list to move the entity to the Entities in Submodel list.
   • To remove an entity from a submodel, double-click an entity in the Entities in Submodel list to move the entity to the Entities in Diagram list.
   • To include both parent and child entities in the submodel that are related to the entities in the Entities in Submodel list, select the Include Parents and Children check box.
   • To include only the entities in the Entities in Submodel list, clear the Include Parents and Children check box.

   Click OK.

   The entities are added or removed from the submodel.
