Assign a Domain to a Column

To assign a domain to a column

1. In the physical model, right-click the table that contains the column, and select Columns.
2. Select the column you want to modify from the Column list.
3. Select the General tab and select one of the following options:
   • To assign a domain to a column, select the domain name from the Domain list.
   • To change the domain that is assigned to the column, select the name of another domain from the Domain list.
   • To remove the domain association from the column, select the <default> domain from the Domain list.
   • To define a new domain, click the Domain button to open the Domain Dictionary dialog.
4. Click OK.

Note: If you do not want the selected domain to be associated with the corresponding attribute in the logical model, click the Domain button, and select the Physical Only check box in the General tab. You can then assign a different, logical-only domain to the attribute in the Attributes dialog.
