Configure Service Display UI Parameters

You can configure options that affect the service display UI in CA Business Service Insight.

Follow these steps:

  1. On the Administration menu click Site Settings, Advanced.

    The Advanced Settings dialog opens.

  2. Click the Service Display UI node in the Configuration tree.

    The following options display:

    ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_MAX_NUM

    The maximum number of attribute values you can assign to a service. You assign attribute values in the Service Discovery and Management page, Attributes and Metadata Management tab.

    Default: 50

    RECORD_NUM_PER_PAGE

    The number of records to display by default on the Services Overview page. Click Services, Service Overview to open the Services page.

    Default: 100

    SERVICE_COMPARE_MAX_NUM

    The maximum number of services you can compare when you work with the Compare External Services feature. When you click the Explore External Services button on the Services Overview page, you can select a service category (such as e-mail). Services in that category are displayed. This option controls the number of services you can then select to participate in the comparison process.

    Default: 10

    TRENDCHART_MAX_VALUE

    The maximum number of months to display in an Internal Trend Chart. You open the trend chart view when you click the Internal Trend Chart button on the Services Overview page.

    Default: 17 months

  3. Click the edit icon next to an option and enter the value.

    The edit icon changes to an update icon.

  4. Click update to save your changes.

    The value is refreshed.

Configure SMI Application Server Parameters

You can configure the SMI application server parameters.

Follow these steps:

  1. On the Administration menu click Site Settings, Advanced.

    The Advanced Settings dialog opens.

  2. Click the SMI Application Server node in the Configuration tree.

    The following options display:

    Protocol for SMI Application Server (http/https)

    The protocol that is used to connect to the SMI application server.

    SMI Application Server Host

    The name of the SMI application server name

    SMI Application Server Port

    The name of the SMI application server port.

  3. Click the edit icon next to an option and enter the value.

    The edit icon changes to an update icon.

  4. Click update to save your changes.

    The value is refreshed.
