Configure Local SMI Calculation Parameters
You can configure options that affect the way CA Business Service Insight handles local SMI calculations. Use these parameters to fine-tune the delay and period between calculations to improve performance on your system.
Follow these steps:
- On the Administration menu click Site Settings, Advanced.
The Advanced Settings dialog opens.
- Click the Local SMI Calculation node in the Configuration tree.
The following options display:
- SMICal.delay

Specifies the delay after the system starts, to begin calculating local SMI. Default: 100,000 milliseconds.
- SMICal.period

Specifies the time period between SMI calculations. Default: 8,640,000 milliseconds.
- Click the edit icon next to an option and enter the value.
The edit icon changes to an update icon.
- Click update to save your changes.
The value is refreshed.
Configure Object Relations Panel
This option enables the user to set Object Relations parameters.
Follow these steps:
- In the Advanced Settings page, select Object Relations Panel. The Object Relations Panel parameters display.
- Number of items in the More panel view

- Number of items under a tree node
-
- Path separator
-
- Click the edit icon next to an option and enter the value.
The edit icon changes to an update icon.
- Click update to save your changes.
The value is refreshed.
Queues
This option enables the user to set Queues parameters.
Follow these steps:
- In the Advanced Settings page, select Queues
The Queues parameters display.
- Current status MSMQ machine

- Dashboard MSMQ machine
-
- Default MSMQ machine
-
- Transport provider
-
- Click the edit icon next to an option and enter the value.
The edit icon changes to an update icon.
- Click update to save your changes.
The value is refreshed.
