Change Sets

A change set is a set of changes you make to a single resource date or a set of resources. This entity is attached to resource dates that are added/updated but not committed.

Change sets are used to commit a set of changes and not each single update. When you add changes to a resource on a specific date, the changes go into effect after the resource is committed.

All these changes are saved in the change set.

When a resource date is committed, resource recalculations are performed starting from the updated date.

A commit is performed for the change set (and all the resources that are attached to it) or for a specific resource in a change set.

Using the Change Set feature assists in avoiding redundant recalculations for each single update.

Every addition/update of a resource must be attached to a specific change set. When adding or editing a resource date, a default change set is offered (it is always the last change set the user used). Change the default change set or create a new one.

Multiple change sets can be deleted or committed simultaneously.

Important: You cannot attach a resource to two different change sets at the same time. The changes must first be committed and then the resource can be attached to the other change set.

Commit the changes first and then attached the resource to the other change set.

The Change Sets page is accessed by clicking the Resources tab and selecting Change Sets.

Note: The name and description “Default” cannot be edited. However, the “default effective date” and the “status” can be edited.
