Only the owner of a Free-Form report can view the Connection String, Query and Parameters fields.
Users can duplicate (either from the report's menu or using the "+" button in the report's chart page) and update a Free-Form report only if they are the owner of that Free-Form report and the system configuration allows it. This is allowed by using the relevant flag in the system configuration, 'duplicate_freeform', which is located in the 't_system_configurations' table. The default value is '1', hence, by default duplication is allowed.
Users who are allowed to duplicate a Free-Form report will be exposed to the afore-mentioned fields.
The system administrator should determine whether preventing duplication or enabling it is the organization's best practice.
