Categorize a Selected Service

You categorize a service to enable features in CA Business Service Insight that enable you to gather data and analyze performance for the service. After you categorize a service, you can filter by that category on the Services Overview page, and compare it to other services categorized the same way.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Service Discovery on the Design menu.

    The Service Discovery and Management page opens.

  2. Select the check box next to one or more services you want to categorize, then click the Service Action button and select Categorize.

    The Service Categorization dialog opens.

    Your selected services display in the left pane. Available service categories display in the right pane.

  3. Select and drag the service to the category, or select one or more service names and click the Move to button to select a category.
  4. Click Save to save your selections.

Note: Use the up or down icon to rearrange the order of the category names.
