Add a New Time Format

To add a new time format

  1. In the Time Formats page, click Add New. The Time Format page is displayed.
  2. In Name, type the name of the time format. This name must be unique and have no more than 30 characters.
  3. In Description, enter a description for the time format. This description can be used as a search criteria.
  4. In Format, type a unique character that defines the value of the time format. The allowed characters are:

Hour in 12-hour format (01 - 12)

Day of year as decimal number (001 - 366)

Month as decimal number (01 - 12)

Minute as decimal number (00 - 59)

Number of seconds since 1970

%p

Current locale's A.M./P.M. indicator for 12-hour clock

%S

Second as decimal number (00 - 59)

%U

Week of year as decimal number, with Sunday as first day of week (00 - 53)

%w

Weekday as decimal number (0 - 6; Sunday is 0)

Week of year as decimal number, with Monday as first day of week (00 - 53)

Date representation for current locale

Time representation for current locale

Year without century, as decimal number (00 - 99)

Time-zone name or abbreviation; no characters if time zone is unknown

Note: When defining a time format, it must contain at least values for the Year, Month and Day. This means that time formats must contain at least three valid predicate formats. The %D, %E and %n characters can be used as single predicate formats.

  1. Click Save to save changes and return to the previous page.
  2. Click Cancel to discard changes and return to the previous page.

Note: Use features in the dialog to edit, delete, search, and view details for a time format.
