Quick Metrics vs. Metrics

Quick metrics unlike metrics are created and managed out of the context of a contract in the system. These metrics can then be assigned to existing or new contract and behave similarly to metrics.

Quick metrics should be used:

• When the data is available and you need to create a report without associating the metric with a customer and/or service.
• When you want to simplify the metric creation (in or out of the context of a contract) by using the predefined functions that already have business logic formulas.

Calculations for quick metrics use the same mechanism as for metrics and therefore the results are the same.

The quick metrics are calculated in an ongoing manner and can provide results in a form of reports. This means that the calculation engine continuously monitors and calculates results for these metrics in a similar manner to an effective contract.
