Search for a Metric

By default, the Contract Details page All Metrics tab displays an alphabetical list of all metrics that are defined for a specific contract. To shorten the list, use the search procedure defined below.

To search for a metric:

  1. In the All Metrics tab, select a search option or options:
    Name

    Select Name, or Description and type the criteria in the field. Wildcards can be used.

    Service

    Select from a list of existing services.

  2. Click Search.

    The results display below the search area.

Note: You can also select a letter from the alphabet list to display a list of metrics that begin with that letter.

You can use an advanced filtering mechanism for additional refining of the search results.

To add advanced filtering options:

  1. Repeat step one from above.
  2. Click Advanced.

    The Metrics Advanced Search page opens.

  3. Select a search option or options:
    Service Domain

    Select to search for metrics associated with a specific service domain.

    Domain Categories

    Select to search for metrics associated with a specific domain categories. The service domain must be selected first.

    Main Indicator

    Select to search for metrics that were specified as the main indicator of the contract or the service.

    Metric Type

    Select to search for a metric type or types.

    Contract derived from

    Select to search for metrics that are associated with contracts are were derived from service level templates or contract templates.

    Unit of Measurement

    Select to search for metrics that are set with a specific measurement unit.

    Timeslot

    Select to search for metrics set with a specific timeslot.

    Time zone

    Select to search for metrics set with a specific time zone.

    Include

    Select to search for clustered metrics, metrics that are set with thresholds or that have errors.

  4. Click Search.

    The results display below the search area.
