Update the Calculated Data Lock Date

The status of the calculated data lock date of a specific contract can be changed directly from the Contracts page. This option is available for contracts whose status is Effective, Not Effective and Archived only.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the Contracts page, click next to the contract you want to make the change for and select Update Calculated Data Lock. The Calculated Data Lock window opens.
  2. In Lock Date, the current status of the lock date is indicated. Indications can be one of the following:
    None

    No lock date exists and no request for a lock date was issued.

    <date>

    A lock date exists and no request for a lock date was issued.

    <date>. Locking currently in progress

    A request for a lock date was issued, but not yet completed.

    If the Previous lock date field appears, it displays the existing lock date. If not, no previous lock was issued.

  3. In Lock Calculations Before, set the lock date by selecting the year and month from the drop-down list.

    Note: The options listed in the Year and Month drop-down lists are limited to the range defined by the maximum between the minimal purge date in the system configurations table and the calculated date line (which is the date for the specific contract) and the current date.

  4. Click Save to set the lock date.

    A confirmation dialog box that also indicates warnings about the selected lock date opens.

  5. Review any warnings indicated and click Yes to set the lock date.

To cancel the calculated data lock of a specific contract:

  1. In the Contracts page, click next to the contract you want to make the change for and select Update Calculated Data Lock.

    The Calculated Data Lock window opens.

  2. Click Unlock.

    A confirmation dialog box opens.

    Note: If the contract’s current lock date is earlier or equal to the minimum lock date (as defined above), the Unlock button is disabled.

  3. Click Yes to unlock.
