This section includes a terminology that you must become familiar with before using AS/400 Manager.
Identifies the AS/400 system services control point, from which the AS/400 Manager application reads alerts that other AS/400 systems have forwarded to the focal point.
Identifies a CA Automation Point session processing alerts from a local AS/400 system that is an alert primary focal point. Each alert session (you can have more than one) is signed on automatically to its AS/400 system through a REXX program called AS400CTL.
Identifies a directly connected AS/400 system. A local system can be connected using a TN3270 or TN5250 session.
Identifies an AS/400 system that is accessed indirectly through another AS/400 system. Connect the remote systems using either of the following methods:
