(Optional, Only If You are Using HSMs) Requirements for HSM

If you are planning to use HSM to store encryption keys, then set up the following before you proceed:

1. HSM Server
2. HSM Client
3. At least one 3DES key created in HSM

   Important! Ensure that you have securely written down the labels of these 3DES keys. You will need them later for encrypting information in the database.

Refer to your platform vendor documentation for detailed information about how to install and configure your HSM Server and Client components and generate the required keys.
