View and manage network types to enable the management console to more accurately measure application performance across networks with varying latency due to distance, bandwidth, or other factors, and launch an appropriate action in response to an incident on a particular type of network.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Does the management console require you to assign a network type to a network? No. If you do not assign a network type to a network, the management console applies the default network incident response. Note that you must create a responsive action for the default network incident response. By default, the management console passively monitors application response time and does not initiate responsive actions to an incident condition.

Specifies a network type name that corresponds to the remote location or region with the client networks you want to group. For example, if you plan to group client networks in the Atlanta office, name the network type Atlanta.

Incident Response

Displays the incident response that is assigned to the network type.
