Sizing Recommendations

A NI GigaStor sends packet digest files to the management NIC on its assigned monitoring device for processing. Depending on how the NI GigaStor is loaded, you should assign a NI GigaStor to at least one monitoring device. You cannot assign more than one NI GigaStor to a monitoring device.

To avoid overloading the Management NIC on the assigned monitoring device, avoid assigning a NI GigaStor to a monitoring device that is also receiving packet digests from another monitoring device, such as a Cisco WAE device.
