View and manage the properties of a CA GigaStor monitoring devices.
Complete the following fields:
Specifies the DNS name of the CA GigaStor server. If you do not know the server name, type the server's IPv4 address in the Management Address field and click DNS to query DNS for the name.
Specifies the IPv4 address of the CA GigaStor server. If you do not know the IP address, type the DNS name in the Server Name field and click IP to query DNS for the IP address.
Choose an incident response to specify how the management console responds to an incident condition on the CA GigaStor.
Specifies the whether to enable CA Application Delivery Analysis to view packet captures on the CA GigaStor.
Displays the monitoring device to which the CA GigaStor is assigned. The CA GigaStor must be assigned to a CA Multi-Port Monitor or a CA Standard Monitor. If you have a Standalone management console, the CA GigaStor is assigned to the management console.
Displays the date and time of the most recent 5-minute interval during which the monitoring device provided application response time data. Keep in mind that CA Application Delivery Analysis reporting is at a 5-minute granularity, so it is normal to see a time stamp that is up to 5 minutes old.
Displays the status of the CA GigaStor Connector. The Connector is responsible for sending packet digests to its assigned monitoring device.
Displays the status of the CA Observer Expert software on the appliance. CA Observer Expert is responsible for providing data to the CA GigaStor Connector.
Displays the installed versions of the CA GigaStor Connector and CA Observer Expert software on the CA GigaStor appliance.

menu to perform basic operations on the CA GigaStor monitoring device:
Start the Connector. While the Connector has a Running status, it sends packet digest files to its assigned monitor for management console reports.
Stop the Connector. While the Connector has a Stopped status, the CA GigaStor continues to write packets to disk, but the Connector does not send packet digest files to its assigned monitor. Resulting data gaps in management console reports can be resolved by viewing the actual data on the CA GigaStor using CA Observer Expert.
Synchronize the CA GigaStor to monitor application performance based on the client networks, server subnets, and application ports that are currently defined on the management console.
