Login Page

The login page is the first page that is loaded in the user's browser when the user enters the url of the CA AppLogic® for System z grid controller. The login page contains the following fields:

After the submit button is clicked, the specified user credentials are verified and the user is redirected to the grid's dashboard page. If either the username or password are incorrect, the user is taken back to the login page. If this is the first time a user is logging into their grid's GUI, they will be asked to read and accept the CA AppLogic® for System z license.

Note: The number of failed attempts to re-enter the username/password is limited to prevent brute-force attacks after which the user account is locked and can only be unlocked by a grid maintainer or another user of the grid. For more information about this, see GUI Login Brute-Force Attack Prevention.
