reset

The rest command cleans up lock files and other transient state.

This command has the following format:

aldo reset

Remarks

Use this command only if any of the following conditions occur:

• The distribution host was rebooted unexpectedly while an aldo command was in progress.
• A previous aldo command failed due to a bug. Further commands appear to fail with error messages indicating that another aldo instance is holding a lock but there is no other instance running.

Executing aldo reset while there is an active aldo instance on the same host disrupts its operation and causes it to fail.
